  • Updated time zone file for 2009-2010.

    • This file is used by "World Time Watcher".
    The zone file updated with many changes and bug fix for 2009-2010.

    It correspond to law revision of daylight saving and revised some definition errors.
    Please update zone.xml with new zone.xml that unzipped download file.
    Current zone.xml is in SDClock installed folder.
    Download.

    The next SDClock release includes this file.

  • About leap second in 2009/01/01

    • SDClock doesn't know the leap second.
    It is because Windows does nothing for a leap second.
    If a leap second is added in the international atomic time, Windows is one second fast against the atomic time until next adjustment.

  • Bugfix Version 1.4.2.2 (en) released

    • This version revised following.

    • Added the functions which can use only in shortcut key to context menu.

    • Revised a bug that is able to show some context menu with kids mode.

    • And fixed some bugs

    • From this version, kids mode choice / non-choice was always enabled even if basic timer preference was set.

  • SDClock was already tested with .NET Framework 3.5.

    • SDClock runs on Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5

    The common language runtime of .NET Framework 3.5 is version 2.0.
    Therefore SDClock works with no problem.
    This tested environment is Windows Vista.

  • SDClock Version 1.4.2.0 released.

    • A new version 1.4.2.0 is regular update.
    This version improved the buttons and color effects.

    • Renewed track for the seconds.
      (Press space-key enable or disable)

  • .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack1 was already tested.

    • SDClock runs on Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP1.

    ".NET Framework 2.0 SP1" is applied alone or introduced with ".NET Framework 3.5" installation.
    I already tested SDClock on Windows XP SP2 with .NET 2.0 SP1.
    But I do not yet test it in the environment of ".NET Framework 3.5".

    • Improved the time of start with an RSS theme.

    • Improved the Sound selector.

    • Fixed a bug that doesn't restore current directory after select a sound file.


      • An exception occurs by some operations after you chose a favorite sound file.

  • SDPetit1.0.0.0 (en) released

    • SDPetit is the special release for 1st anniversary of SDClock.
    SDPetit is the slim clock which extracted primitive power down functions from SDClock.

    There are not the following functions in comparison with SDClock.
    • SDService support
    • Remote preference support
    • Home and kids mode
    • Skin support
    • Message alarm
    • World time watcher

    Tested platforms are XP/Vista.
    SDPetit requires Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0

    The usage is about the same with SDClock.
    Please look at this in detail.
    SDPetit can coexist with SDClock.
    When both started, naturally the one where the setting time is early does an action earlier.
    This software will not add functions except the bugfix in the future.

    • Revised a bug that "DST" is displayed even if end period of daylight saving time.


      • The time calculation is correct in "The World Time Watcher" or "city clock", but, there was a bug that "DST" is displayed even if end period of daylight saving time.

    Improved the visual effect in countdown mainly.

  • Bug fix Version 1.4.0.2 build2 (en) released

    • This version was not regular update, but revised the critical installation bug.

    Main improvement
    • Revised that installation was hanged by native image generation


      • When SDClock fast load setup was chosen, Installer will update image cash by all means.
      However, installation time gets longer for around 1 minute from 30 seconds.

    • Revised a bug that a alarm outputs every day by "Every Year".

    • Changed the default notation to 24 hours in the case of culture that doesn't have am/pm.

    • Improved the date time notation in "Alarm Scheduler" and "The World Time Watcher" for non en-US cultures.

    • Corrected the pause function of "SDService Client".

  • New version 1.3.2.0 (en) released.

    • SDClock released only a Japanese edition till now.
    This version becomes the first English version release.

    Menus and messages are in English, but others are changed by culture of each country.

    SDClock requires .NET Framework 2.0 or later.
    SDClock doesn't have a function to adjust a system clock, so, use after adjust system clock by manual operation or such as NTP.
